Letter to Gov. Dean to restore Bushtax.com
Jan. 21, 2006
Dear Gov. Dean,
We're writing to you to request permission to restore the site used in
your 2004 election campaign, BushTax.com. It was paid for and maintained by DEAN FOR AMERICA.
We recently became the new owner's of the domain as we didn't want such a great resource to go to waste.
The site was full of material that showed how the Bush tax cut made Americans take on billions more in national debt, reduce the Social Security Trust Funds and shift associated costs to states and communities, who then passed them on to average Americans.
Appropriately, 'The Bush Tax: How Much Is It Costing You?' was the theme of the BushTax.com site.
Just today, January 21, 2006, in his radio address, President Bush has asked to make these same tax cuts permament.
Now is the time to get this site restored, and the public made aware of the consequences of such a decision.
You can see the old BushTax.com archived at http://web.archive.org/web/20050304025754/http://www.bushtax.com/
With your permission, I want to restore the site from this archive.
We'll also add new features like a forum for people to speak out, and a blog to follow the developments on the issue.
